This is a WONDERFUL concordance. Our Pastor required us to get a Strong's Concordance and a Vines Dictionary. So I decided to search Amazon for the books and long behold I came across this awesome book and it had it all in one which is amazing. This book is a size of a school text book. If you are willing to learn of Gods Word even the better. Don't let the size discourage but encourage you to buy. The print is small so for those that have trouble reading small print I would suggest a full page magnifying sheet to make it easier on the eyes. I have ordered several of this book for members of my local congregation as well. I intend on ordering more. I attend a Bible based Christ Center, Holy Ghost led Sabbath Keeping church. Here is where we learn, study and search the Word of God. So this Concordance/Dictionary will help us grow stronger and dig deeper into the Bible.

Do not waste your money on this greatly truncated version of the original full sized Strong's concordance. The paper is embarrassingly cheap and the citations poorly condensed. I know this because I have the full version and compared them side to side.Stick with the original, I immediately returned this one.

I must say i am simply amazed at this version of Strongs, and not only the product, but also these sellers. i got it even days before i was supposed to always a plus. that about covers my happiness with the sellers, although i still feel i am not giving them the justice they deserve. but now onto the product itself, it is a hard back which i usually can not stand, but for something even this thick it works. this strongs is done in easy laid out sections. it gives you an introduction, how to use etc, then goes into a concordance of all the words used in the KJV, also other translations as i was suprised a added bonus not mentioned. from the concordance it then goes into the strongs number section of Hebrew, then Greek, respectfully. and yet another awesome bonus not in many Strongs, is not only the words of our Lord in red (although all of the word of God is inspired of course) but the cool addition of some of vines best Definitions of not only the english but also on the hebrew and greek. there is also a complete topical index to the bible i did not know i was getting which is great, a chart of the harmony of the gospels, Teachings and illustrations of Christ,The parables of Jesus Christ, The laws of the bible, Prayers of the bible, the Jewish calendar, Jewish feasts, Monies and weights, New testament monies,Measures of length, Dry measures and liquid measures. for thosee that took the time to read this, thank you and God bless. i was trying to write a review quickly, so i apologize for missing pronunctiation and spacing etc. but wanted to get it all in. what you will get with this awesome addition for pastors, and students alike.in Christbrother Travis.

I was not expecting the text to be so small. I will need a magnifying glass to even read the text so I do no think it will be useful to me because I can't read it.

Be advised that the print font is so small that the only way to make out the writing is with reading glasses AND a magnifying glass. Font is also very light, you would go blind trying to use this book. Very disappointed that this fact was not included in the item description along with a sample of the font. I requested a return after 5 minutes of looking at it. Terrible, should have been 2 volumes.

Hippo Books did not say that this is an edition that does not include Hebrew or Greek and that is not numerically coded for cross-reference. Maybe Hippo Books is ignorant of the requirements of scholarly research or they don't know their product. Caveat emptor. So, not being a Xtian I didn't know this product either (my bibles are in Hebrew and Greek and I have those lexica in my memory- nevertheless this type of "popular edition" version just adds a few steps to my research which I can live with. But this still gets an overall ONE rating for poor product and service. Took an overly and unusual long time to arrive by the way. This version also leaves out articles, clitics, common conjunctions and prepositions-and adverbs- what if I want to look up passages like " 'a' certain man"? That passage when it appears is CRITICAL; in the Hebrew, it reads "ish ehkhad" which is indicative of something VERY significant and history-changing about to happen. The word "ehkhad" ("one") which is omitted from this poor excuse of a watered-down make-it-too-easy agenda of lack of scholarship, is among the 168 words omitted. Further to the point, there are 40 more words like "Moses", "Aaron", "Israel", "holy", son", "servant", "God", "Jesus" and others that are "condensed by retaining the MORE IMPORTANT PASSAGES" [emphasis mine] to the exclusion of others. The words for "Jesus" in the Old Testament are, again, critical to some passages. Avoid this edition. At all costs. This one goes into a box at the back of a closet. Get the heavy, large "exhaustive" concordance instead.

I bought this for my son who is in prison. You might think this is a bad thing, but God has given my son a ministry from the inside out. When God is finished with him he will come out. He has led 10 men to Christ so far. He said it was the best concordance and it has helped him to bring the light to the Gospel in a greater way.Patricia Menville

Nice study aid, i recommend also grabbing an interlinear greek to make it worth it. Packaging was not so great... Corners got dinged up. Overall, a sturdy book. Nice spine. Pages thin, print small, but "flow" well when you're trying to find stuff. Though thin, good for tabs too. Grab a reading magnifying glass and a tilted book stand if you really want to use it for deep study.

I needed to get this book in my hands rapidly. You fulfilled all my hopes completely!

The great book of legal philosophy in the 20th century was Hart's "The Concept of Law," but I would put this book at number two. It is beautifully written and meticulously worked out. There is much to learn from this book about the law and about how to think creatively about any subject!

Ronald Dworkin is one of the most prominent law philosophers in the common law tradition. Known both in America and Britain for his strong democratic positions, baptized by Duncan Kennedy `orthodox centrism', Dworkin is an acid critic of the paradigms of the contemporaneous jurisprudence. Teaching law both in London and New York, the author unites the best of the old and the new world's linguistic and philosophical theories. He is well aware of the main `external' influences of law studies, such as the linguistics of Wittgenstein, the utilitarianism of Austin and Bentham, the categorical imperative of Kant, the dialectical approach of Habermas, and many more epistemic precursors of the modern law science. And from the legal benches he invites to debate scholars as Hart, Nozick, Rawls, etc. This book follows his theoretical controversies initiated in A Matter of Principle and Taking Rights Seriously. Dworkin has the `humble' objective of deconstructing the base of the legal theory, forging a new conception of law itself. Facing the legal positivism creed (as in Kelsen) with the skeptical panorama (legal realism as in Holmes), this author proposes a third way of law interpretation with he calls `law as integrity'. Integrity conception of law is inspirited in the third motto of the French Revolution: `fraternity'. Law is seen as a product of a `community of principles', as in the roman adage ubi societas ubi jus. For him any interpretation of the law, the common law or the Constitution must be impregnated with the will of integrity, noted as a commitment with the political morals of a given society in a given time. He sees the Constitution as the repository of the three biggest law principles: adjective due process, fairness and justice. His works (as all things in life) owes applauses and reproves. Its strong points are the impact of his critics, surely shaking the base of the `obvious arguments' of law. Ancient myths as objectiveness and law fidelity of the judge had been collapsed. Notwithstanding the foregoing, what he calls a new proposal - `law as integrity' - is an old hermeneutic method of the jurist from the Romanist systems (as in Brazil, where I come from). This kind of `principiologic' conception perhaps came from a tradition in which law and justice were reputed as equals, and principles were expressions of natural rights given by god or breed in reason. Chapter 1 Ecotherapy: The Health Benefits of Nature Nature’s Effects on a Woman’s Brain and Body In 2017 neuroscientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology identified the brain circuit necessary for memory formation. This new finding challenges the previous model of memory formation occurring solely in the hippocampus (and then the memory moving from there). Memories are formed simultaneously in the hippocampus and the prefrontal cortex. In the longterm storage location of the brain’s cortex the memories in the cells of the cortex are “silent” for two weeks before maturing (Kitamura et al. 2017). Being in nature helps women’s brain systems with consolidation of memory. Researchers at the University of Michigan gave students a fleeting memory test and then divided the participants into two groups. One group took a walk around an arboretum and the other half took a walk down a city street. When the participants returned and repeated the test, those who had wandered among trees did nearly 20 percent better than they had on the first memory test. The students who had taken in city views did not consistently develop their short-term memory (Berman, Jonides, and Kaplan 2008). A related study on depressed individuals also found that walks in nature boosted working memory significantly compared to walks in urban surroundings (Berman et al. 2012). Physical activity in green environments can both prevent and treat depression as well as increase short-term memory. A study published in 2010 in the American Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease & Other Dementias shows that long-suffering dementia and Alzheimer’s patients are known to have decreased symptoms following time in nature (Jarrott & Gigliotti 2010). Landscape architects are designing therapeutic gardens and green environments for use in nursing homes, hospitals, and work-related spaces. These innovative spaces not only decrease symptoms in women suffering from neurological disorders like dementia and Alzheimer’s, they also reduce the stress and anxiety of the caretakers in these facilities.Many women today report feelings of un-centeredness and dizziness with reduced clarity, attention, and focus--what researchers call brain fog, or mental fatigue. A profound way to restore mental clarity and focus is being immersed in restorative green environments. One study found that women’s mental energy increased even when simply looking at pictures of nature. The frontal lobe, the part of our brain that’s hyper-engaged in modern life, deactivates when outside. Alpha waves, which indicate a calm but alert state, grow stronger and connect to the energy that is found in nature. Meditation is also great at engaging alpha waves. Thus, pairing brain and body exercises such as meditation and running in nature is significantly beneficial. Transcendental Meditation has been heavily researched and shown to reduce crime, violence, and negative behavior in the general area where the meditation takes place. Likewise, proximity to nature corresponds to lower murder and crime rates, which should influence more green spaces to be prominent in city environments (Kuo & Sullivan 2001). Mental illness and negative thoughts worsen without nature (Berman 2012). A group of researchers from Stanford University think the green effect might have something to do with reducing rumination, or as the researchers state, “a maladaptive pattern of self-referential thought that is associated with heightened risk for depression and other mental illnesses.” Rumination is what happens when women get remarkably sad and can’t stop thinking about negative beliefs, concepts, and situations in their life. Rumination is shown to be increased activity in a brain region called the subgenual prefrontal cortex, a narrow band in the lower part of the brain that regulates negative emotions. If rumination continues for too long unregulated, depression can develop. The Stanford researchers chose to study city dwellers, predicting they would have “a somewhat elevated level of rumination resulting from the ongoing and chronic stressors associated with the urban experience.” (Bratman, Hamilton, Hahn, Daily & Gross, 2015). Women and men report significantly different reactions to stress. Women can find stress relief in all aspects of nature--the sight of the mountains, the feel of the grass, the smell of the air full of rich oxygen and electrons, the calming sounds of crickets chirping and water flowing. The entire experience brings about change in physical and mental health. It is not isolating bits of nature into city environments that has the most measurable effect in health and mental health (Journal of Environmental Psychology 1995 and 2005; Psychological Science 2012). One study found that students who spent two nights in a forest had lower levels of cortisol, the hormone often used as a marker for stress, in contrast to those who spent the same period in urban or city surroundings. In another study researchers found a decrease in both heart rate and levels of cortisol in subjects in the forest when compared to those in the city. The researchers concluded that stressful states can be relieved by forest therapy (Scandinavian Journal of Forest Research 2007; Environmental Health and Preventative Medicine 2010; Japanese Journal of Hygiene 2011; Biomedical and Environmental Sciences 2012). In the workplace, a recent study showed a reduction in employee stress when the employees spent time outside (Largo-Wight, Chen, Dodd, & Weiler 2011). The view of nature out a window is also associated with lower stress and higher job satisfaction. Even looking at nature photos and images on mobile devices has shown some benefit.In another study women who spent time in the forest had lower levels of inflammation than those who spent time in urban environments. In a study published in the Journal of Cardiology elderly women sent on a week-long trip into the forest showed reduced signs of inflammation and a positive effect on their hypertension (Biomedical and Environmental Sciences 2012; Journal of Cardiology 2012). The health effects of green space are numerous and even studies that can’t prove causeand-effect still show strong associations between access to nature and longer, healthier lives for women.
